About Espen

Espen has extensive experience in IT, procurement and privacy. These areas are often interconnected and offer complex issues and challenges. Espen also has a strong interest in intellectual property, especially copyright.

Espen has worked with privacy for several years, also before the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force. He has worked with everything from internal company guidelines in relation to privacy, privacy policies, data process agreements, agreements for joint controllers, to data protection impact assessments (DPIA). Espen advices both private and public customers in relation to their challenges in meeting the privacy requirements.

Espen also has in-dept knowledge of the rules on public procurement and assists both private and public customers throughout the entire procurement process. When assisting public entities, he participates in drafting the tender documents with associated documentation, performs evaluations and awards, and handles any complaints process. He also has expertise in several adjoining legal fields, notably the regulations on archive, transparency and public administration. Espen particularly has expertise within ICT procurement, and he regularly participated in the development of new ICT standard agreements.

Espen frequently gives lectures. He often works in teams, which are often interdisciplinary with the customer’s employees. Espen is committed to provide advice with high professional integrity, and he actively pursues to further develop his own expertise.
